BIOGRAPHY
Named Chicago’s Best Gospel Entertainer of 2019, LeNasia is a soulful inspirational singer and songwriter. Her positive energy encourages you to see the positive side of any trial or tribulation in life. There is a powerful message in her music and she wants the world to know that it is okay to be uniquely creative and different. In 1997, during a music workshop at Northern Illinois University, LeNasia’s matured voice and unique stage presence captivated renowned songwriter, producer, and director Mr. Percy Gray. She was then, blessed to travel with the award-winning Chicago Mass Choir, to lead songs as a guest soloist.

LeNasia has since written several songs, telling the story of what God has miraculously done and continues to do in her life. Her first single entitled “Hold'N On” (produced by: Jason Tyson) inspires you to do just that. In February of 2004, she wrote and released a 15-track album entitled "A New Relationship". The album's smash hit "I Live For You" (produced by: Jason Tyson) has been played and put in rotation on many musical outlets.

In 2013, LeNasia served as Minister of Music at the Chapel within the Olive Branch Mission, on the Southside of Chicago. Within four years, she developed a strong presence as a leader and motivator at OBM. She began to teach and train anyone who wanted to sing which resulted in her forming OBM’s first adult choir, youth choir, and a powerful praise team. In December 2015, Olive Branch Mission released an Album entitled “Worship & Praise Volume 1” in which LeNasia wrote five of the ten songs on the album.

Many well-known artists soon began to see the gift God had placed in her and therefore her experience was enhanced by adding background versatility to her skill set. She has sung background for artists such as Smokie Norful, Erica Campbell, Jonathan Nelson, Kim McFarland, and many others. God’s favor and blessings continued to rise in her life. In 2010, LeNasia was blessed, with the opportunity to be a guest soloist on the Victory Cathedral Worship Center Choir Album leading the song “The Greatest Name”. She began to travel with VCWC Choir to help spread the word that Jesus is “The Greatest Name”! She later made Victory her church home and now serves faithfully in the music ministry.
In May of 2018, LeNasia released a song entitled “Like My Daddy” (produced by Rodney East) in honor of Father’s Day. This song labeled “The Father’s Day Song” will touch lives for years to come. She later released her first single “Praise Party” to radio in March and in November of 2018, LeNasia released her full album entitled “Dare To Praise Different”. This album introduces LeNasia’s new vocal style, creativity, and vocal arrangement skills as she presents a more exciting and fun music atmosphere. Her current singles “Forward”, “Lessons To Learn” and “He’s Been Good” from the album are climbing the gospel charts across the country. This album encourages you to be yourself and to have a blast giving God praise.

In April of 2022, LeNasia's new single "Never Give Up" brought a new jazzy, churchy feel to the forefront that continues to encourage, uplift and inspire. With her soon-to-be-released album entitled "Journey Within" LeNasia expresses her love and support for her family, expounds on her personal growth, and highlights her relationship with God.
